Following a well-received first-time last summer, Livermore Valley Arts (LVA) is once again partnering with O’Hana ComicCon to bring ComicCon Livermore to The Bankhead on Saturday, July 20. A place where fandoms collide and imagination knows no bounds, this year’s event will include a Costume Contest (on stage for the first time), face painting, photo booth, comics and anime. Unlike other ComicCons, this Tri-Valley celebration is free and open to the public.

Of special note this year, John Morris, the voice of Andy in Toy Story, Toy Story 2, and Toy Story 3, will be at ComicCon Livermore beginning at 11am. The guest of honor for the event, Mr. Morris will be onstage just before the costume contest, and he will have autographs available for purchase during the day. The public is invited to experience this thrilling afternoon at the Bankhead Theater in Downtown Livermore.

This year’s ComicCon Livermore event promises to be an exhilarating celebration of all things geek culture, showcasing a vibrant tapestry of artists in all genres including graphic novel, manga, crime/noir, sci-fi, horror, fantasy, slice of life, adventure, humor and romance. In addition to showcasing the artists and the previously mentioned cosplay contest, anime and toy vendors, and special guest appearances, ComicCon Livermore will be the ultimate destination for fans of all ages to come together and celebrate. Vendors and exciting activities to look for also include King Kong Comics and Games, Towne Center Books, henna art and art demonstrations. Guests are invited to grab their cape, dust off their masks and get ready to showcase their art for ComicCon Livermore!

To sign up for the costume contest, interested participants must register at The Bankhead on the day of ComicCon with Ziggy of O’Hana ComicCon between 11am – 12pm. The contest will take place on the Bankhead Stage from 1pm – 2pm. Free for all participants.
