The Fremont Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the 42nd Annual Fremont Festival of the Arts, taking place Saturday, Aug. 1 and Sunday, Aug. 2.
Recognized as the largest free street festival west of the Mississippi, the festival is expected to welcome more than 100,000 visitors for a weekend filled with art, entertainment, food, shopping and family fun.
This year’s festival introduces a new layout, extending up Capitol Avenue to the Downtown Event Center, plus along Paseo Padre Parkway from Walnut to Mowry Avenue. The festival is also featuring nearly double the number of vendors compared to previous year, with exhibitor space completely sold out.
Visitors can enjoy: Hundreds of artists, exhibitors and local businesses; three stages featuring continuous live music, cultural performances and entertainment; three beer and wine booths serving variety craft beer and wine; a Kids’ Zone with carnival rides, games and family-friendly activities; international food vendors and gourmet treats; Community organizations, interactive exhibits and hands-on activities and vendors with handcrafted art, jewelry, home décor, clothing, specialty foods and unique gifts.
In addition to celebrating arts and culture, the festival serves as a major economic driver for the community, bringing visitors from throughout the Bay Area and beyond while generating business for local restaurants, retailers, hotels and service providers.
“As one of the chamber’s signature events, the festival is about bringing people together,” said Teresa Hoang, CEO of the Fremont Chamber of Commerce. “Whether you’re discovering a new artist, enjoying live music, spending time with family, supporting a local business or simply exploring everything Fremont has to offer, there’s something here for everyone.”
Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early, wear comfortable shoes, bring a hat or umbrella to fight the heat and spend the day exploring the festival.
