We all have unresolved pain in our life, both personal and intergenerational. On March 28, Dr. Adrienne Danyelle Oliver, a poet-educator will facilitate a free Zoom workshop on how to use poetry and other forms of writing to improve wellbeing and soothe the soul. The workshop is sponsored by Fremont Area Writers.
Dr. Oliver will share some of her own writing, suggest writing prompts, offer time for participants to write and, should they choose, to share their writing with others. Emphasis will be on the acts of writing and witnessing as a central part of the healing process.
Dr. Adrienne Danyelle Oliver is a writer, educator and hip-hop scholar. Originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, she now lives in Oakland. Her chapbook collective madness was nominated for the 2023 Maya Angelou book award. More information is at adriennedanyelle.com.
The Zoom workshop is open to all. It is sponsored by Fremont Area Writers, one of 21 branches of the California Writers Club. More information is available at cwc-fremontareawriters.org. To attend Dr. Oliver’s presentation, request the Zoom link from Scott Davidson at sc**************@***oo.com
