Join us on Thursday, Feb. 26, in the Mission Room of the Olive Hyde Art Gallery for an immersive oil painting demonstration by local artist Farshid Namei.
After a decade as a VP financial planner, Namei pivoted in 2002 to pursue her lifelong passion for art. Today, she is a distinguished signature member of the Oil Painters of America, American Women Artists and the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society. She is a longstanding member of the Olive Hyde Art Guild, and has been recognized through the years in OHAG’s juried exhibitions.
During this interactive session, Namei will demonstrate her portrait painting process using photo references. To facilitate a collaborative approach, she will present several photos and invite the audience to vote on which subject she paints. Attendees are highly encouraged to participate, ask and answer questions, and engage in the creative process throughout the morning.
Farshid’s portfolio is viewable at farshidnamei.com.
