On Sept. 12, community members gathered to walk in the Union City Hills by the Masonic Homes and Acacia Creek to raise money for Alzheimer’s research. This was the second annual walk. Over $3,000 was raised from Walk participants, with additional contributions from community sponsors.
Participants also pinned flowers to a tribute wall to honor those suffering from the disease.
Sponsors included Washington Health, Bristol Hospice, Alameda County District 2 Supervisor Elisa Márquez, Assisting Hands, Union City Police Officers Association, Tri-CED, Cerebrhythm, Morrison Living, Balloons with Love, Mission Peak Business Products Inc.
