Tri-City Women’s Club appoints new officers

At club meeting group presents checks to local nonprofit

Tri Cities Women’s Club Is a group of mostly retired women who enjoy making friends, spending time together and helping the local community. They meet on the third Tuesday of each month from September to June for lunch and business meetings at the Fremont Elks Lodge. Although they are “off” for the summer, groups continue to meet to play bridge, bocce, rummikub, bunco, enjoy lunch together and hold book clubs!

On June 16, the Tri Cities Women’s Club installed their new officers for  2026-2027. They hold monthly lunch meetings September through June.

The new officers are: Kristy Huntzinger, President; Julie Colmenero, 1st Vice President; Darlene Cano, 2nd Vice President; Lavon Hodges, Recording Secretary; Lynn Pruner, Corresponding Secretary; Carolyn Anderson, Treasurer and Betty Brousseau, Parliamentarian.

At the same meeting, the Club also presented checks totaling $6,616 to Friends of Children with Special Needs (FCSN), their Spring Fling Charity Recipients. The club chooses a different local charity to support each year, and 2026 marked their 41st Spring Fling.

FCSN helps families with Special Needs Children from diagnosis through adulthood through educational, musical opportunities, after school and summer programs. Accepting the checks were Anna Wang, Vice President, Local Programs and Community Relations and Sharon Yeh, Executive Business Director.

  1. Thank you for this newsletter as I really really want to be a part of the club. Not able to do a lot of activity, but I am planning on resuming my appearance on the third Tuesday of every month starting September. Thanks again so much and I’m so proud of all of you. You really exhibit the enthusiasm it takes to get new membership.
