The Tri-City community will join a nationwide event encouraging people to vote at “Turn People Power into Voting Power” on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 11:30am to 1:30pm at the corner of Walnut Avenue and Paseo Padre Parkway.
Indivisible-Fremont, the League of Women Voters of Fremont-Newark-Union City and the Youth Voter Movement, are sponsoring this No Kings – Vote Early event. This is a non-partisan event focused on making sure every eligible voter is registered, has a plan to vote early, knows their options and is ready to make their voice count.
There will be a peaceful Honk & Wave Rally, as well. These family-friendly events are upbeat and joyful, as we celebrate our democracy with our neighbors. Bring signs encouraging people to vote and reminding them of the importance of voting rights because in America, the people choose their leaders.
