Newsom’s message on gasoline is loud and clear

Local writes about rising gas prices and why Chevron and California are higher than the rest

In the context of recent news, consumers boycott Chevron for couple of reasons:

• Chevron blend costs drivers more at the pump compared to ‘unblended’ gas

• The average national price of a gallon was $4.55 last week, with California’s average being the highest in the country at $6.59 a gallon

Jokingly, our president said raising gas prices was “peanuts” compared to Iran’s nuclear capabilities. The president didn’t realize the consumers (Americans) are paying the high price out of their finances.

The truth is everyone was noticing California’s gas prices hovering at a peak in late May while the rest of the country cruises near $4.55 a gallon.

It’s not mainly big oil greed or fleeting global tension, but the predictable harness of Sacramento and Newsom’s genius intentions.

And overall, California has the highest gas prices at $6.49 per gallon versus the national average of $ 4.55, per AAA recent report.

The Governor’s message is loud and clear that big oil companies are already making billions off President Trump’s Iran war; don’t let them rip you off even more by paying the brand name Chevron.
