Juried photography winners span nature and humanity

Photographs by locals remain on display at Fremont Library

The 31st Annual Juried Photography Exhibit reception was held on Saturday, April 4 at the Fremont Main Library. Photographs will be on display at the library through Saturday, May 8.

Exhibit chairman Rajeev Shankar said, “Congratulations to those photographers whose work was selected for this exhibit. We received many more entries than we have space for, which means that some good photos unfortunately didn’t make the cut.”

Len Cook, one of the judges added, “Judging the FCAC annual photography competition is always a pleasure. This year’s entries, in addition to being a joy to look at, presented a greater than usual challenge for judging. Many photographs offered many exceptional images.”

In the Student Category, the first prize went to Grace Koo for “Of Providence,” second prize went to Chitkarsh Mishra for “Going Nuts” and third prize went to Radhika Shah for “Little Big Dreams.” The Honorable Mentions were given to Siddhant Chakraborty for “Through the Arch” and Radhika Shah for “Head in the Clouds.”
