For the past 23 years, the annual Cougars Girls Summer Basketball Camp has provided excellent instruction and the opportunity to improve the skills of over 1,000 girls.
This summer’s basketball camp program will be offered at the Silliman Activity Center from Monday, July 13 to Thursday, July 16, 9am to 12 noon.
The two primary goals of the basketball camp are that each and every camper should have “FUN,” and learn to become the very “BEST PLAYER” that they can possibly be.
The camp staff works toward these goals in every camp drill and activity. Newark Memorial Girls varsity head coach and camp director Darryl Reina believes that basketball must be fun, and that players should look forward to being in the gym as often as they can.
The following grade groups are being offered: 1st to 3rd grade, 4th to 5th grade and 6th to 8th grade.
The fee is $149 for Newark residents and $159 for non-residents. The fee includes a camp t-shirt.
