On Sept. 12, community members gathered to walk in the Union City Hills by the Masonic Homes and Acacia Creek to raise money for Alzheimer’s research. This was the second annual walk. The walk raised nearly $2,000. Participants also pinned flowers to a tribute wall to honor those suffering from the disease.
Sponsors included Washington Health, Bristol Hospice, Alameda County District 2 Supervisor Elisa Márquez, Assisting Hands, Union City Police Officers Association, Tri-CED, Cerebrhythm, Morrison Living, Balloons with Love, Mission Peak Business Products Inc.
