On Feb. 10, 2026, at approximately 8:32pm, Fremont Police Department responded to a traffic collision report involving a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was attempting to cross midblock on Stevenson Boulevard between Sundale Drive and Blacow Road during heavy traffic.
A Toyota Scion was traveling westbound when it collided with the pedestrian who was in lane number two. The pedestrian then fell into lane number one where they were hit by another vehicle. The driver of the Toyota Scion pulled over on the shoulder of the road, but the second vehicle involved did not stop and continued westbound on Stevenson Boulevard. The identity of the second vehicle and its driver has not yet been identified.
Fremont Police Department, Fremont Fire personnel and paramedics arrived at the scene and provided aid to the pedestrian. The pedestrian was then taken to a local hospital in an ambulance but succumbed to their injuries. Their identity has not yet been released to the public.
The collision is still under investigation, but drugs or alcohol are not suspected to have been a factor.
This is Fremont’s fourth fatal traffic collision this year.
