The man who targeted and killed a registered sex offender in Fremont appeared in court on Thursday, Nov. 20.
Twenty-nine-year-old Varun Suresh of Fremont went before an Alameda County judge at the East County Hall of Justice in Dublin to enter a plea after he targeted and fatally stabbed 71-year-old David Brimmer in Brimmer’s Fremont neighborhood back in September.
However, his attorney requested more time to go over discovery materials noting that there are mental health issues that were being explored in the case.
Suresh is scheduled to appear back in court on Dec. 17.
