Newark Days is just days away as we proudly celebrate our 70th birthday with our annual celebration, this year’s theme: “Celebrating the ‘70s.” The celebration begins Thursday, Sept. 18, with premier night special $2 per ride at the carnival. The celebration continues through Sunday, Sept. 21.
The huge midway with rides and games for the entire family and over 30 food booths open the entire event. Newark Days features the best parade in Northern California, the “Newark Mile” 4K run and a huge classic car and truck show all on Saturday. Over 50 booths will join the arts and crafts faire on Saturday and Sunday. And new this year, Sunday will have free hot air balloon rides (weather permitting), along with the community information faire.
The weekend will also include talented entertainment. Trampoline Acrobatics and Aerial Scarf dancers perform Saturday and Sunday on the Lawn Stage, and bands featuring The Purple Ones (Prince tribute band), Sacred Fire Band, David Martin’s House Party, Mystique and many others appear on the main stage.
