May is Older Americans Month (OAM)—a time to recognize and celebrate the ongoing contributions of older adults in our community. Too often, aging is viewed through a lens of decline or limitation. This year’s theme, “Flip the Script,” challenges outdated stereotypes.
Ruggieri Center will mark OAM with a variety of events and programs that reflect this theme—from fitness and wellness classes to arts, games and social events like the Senior Ball on May 22.
With classic disco tunes, a festive atmosphere and plenty of groovy vibes, this event is set to be a highlight of the season. Admission is $5 for Center members and $10 for non-members. Light refreshments will be provided, and the dance floor will be open to all who are ready to move and groove.
