Prepare to be enchanted by “A Child Birthed by the Wind,” an immersive journey that intertwines the art of theater, fashion and poetry to narrate the powerful saga of Haiti personified and the diaspora. Experience the legend of Haiti personified through a young girl, a child born from the very breath of the wind, who rises from the shadows of the Atlantic Slave Trade to reclaim her identity and inspire hope. Planned for August 31, the show will feature a script written by Dorothy Dominique, with pages from the recently-published book Broken.
Event highlights include: Live performances, DJ, art exhibit, gourmet food vendors, accessory and clothing vendors, arts & crafts, games and African-inspired face painting. Doors will open at 3pm, when guests are invited to explore vendors and activities, and the main show will start at 3:30pm. The event will conclude with an art exhibit, open until 6pm.
Don’t miss this extraordinary celebration of justice, freedom, and the unyielding spirit of Haiti and the diaspora. Secure your tickets now (available on Eventbrite or at the door) and step into a world where the whispers of the wind tell tales of strength and liberation.
