On Thursday, May 29, Olive Hyde Art Guild will host a mini workshop on needle-felted applique, led by Bethany Mann. Mann has been teaching art and craft in the SF Bay Area for over ten years, with a double focus on fiber arts and book arts/papercrafts.Â
Attendees will make a needle-felted applique mini-banner about 4″ x 5″ thick and decorate it using wool roving and reveling yarn. Mann will teach some simple stitches to bind the edges and embellish the design. Mann will supply vintage glass baubles and tassels. There is a $10 material fee.
