Fremont Art Association is happy to feature Tetiana Taganska as the guest artist at its General Meeting and Art Demo on Wednesday, Jan. 7. Taganska is a local impressionist artist and co-founder of Imaginook.
In this hour and a half demo, “Painting Bright and Vivid Local Plants in Acrylics,” Taganska will cover material and color choices, palette setup and techniques used to achieve vibrancy in painting with acrylics.
Taganska will explain how she selects and adjusts reference photos to enhance composition and light. She will cover practical color-mixing methods and color-theory tricks as well. This demo is perfect for both experienced artists and beginners interested in acrylic painting techniques.
In addition to serving as a member of the board of directors at the Fremont Art Association, Taganska co-founded Imaginook in 2018, an art studio offering a range of art classes for kids and adults.
Born in Ukraine, Taganska studied fine art at Svyatoslav Brakhnov’s Atelier (Kiev, Ukraine) and with Anthony Ryder at The Ryder Studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She received the 2023 Award of Excellence at the Fremont Art Association Annual Show.

The free demo will be held via Zoom. Participants must register in advance at the Fremont Art Association website to receive the Zoom link.
