Garden club fundraises with potted succulents

Funds go to club’s maintenance of historical nursery

Volunteers of the California Nursery Garden Club, a nonprofit organization, are offering potted succulent creations for monetary donations every Thursday, from 10am to 12pm, now until June 25. The charming succulent arrangements, created by a club member, make the perfect houseplant. They like sunlight and need watering only when the potted soil gets dry.

Other items include one-gallon potted garden plants and club tee shirts. Suggested donations are $10 for the potted garden plants, $20 for the potted succulents and $30 for the tee shirts.

The club is dedicated to the year-round maintenance and care of the historic show gardens of the California Nursery Historical Park. This beautiful Fremont park is located on 36501 Niles Blvd. off of Nursery Avenue.

There is free parking at the historic gardens. Please support your local garden club and bring home a pretty potted plant.
