Tuesday, Dec. 9

• Officers conducted a vehicle theft investigation involving a rental truck obtained using fraudulent identification. The vehicle was later identified through license plate reader technology near Decoto Road and Mission Boulevard. Officers located the vehicle and detained the suspect. 

Wednesday, Dec. 10 

• Officers responded to the Casa Arroyo Apartments regarding a family battery. The victim reported that her spouse attempted to force her out of the apartment, then grabbed her by the hair. The spouse was determined to be the primary aggressor and was subsequently arrested.

Friday, Dec. 12

• Loss prevention at a retail store on Fremont Boulevard reported a female suspect had battered an employee after fleeing the store with merchandise. Officers located the suspect vehicle in a motel parking lot. Officers obtained search warrants for both the motel room and the vehicle then detained the occupants of two motel rooms, recovering stolen property. One suspect was arrested for robbery and possession of a controlled substance, and another suspect was cited/arrested for theft. 

Sunday, Dec. 14

• Officers responded to a vehicle collision at Fremont Boulevard and Decoto Road. Witnesses reported that three occupants of the striking vehicle fled the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to Kaiser Hospital. The striking vehicle was later determined to be stolen, and three potential suspects were located. The investigation is ongoing.

Monday, Dec. 15

• Officers conducted a traffic stop on a moped in the area of Central Avenue and Logan Drive. The juvenile driver was in possession of a moped reportedly stolen out of San Francisco. The juvenile was released to a parent. The moped owner was contacted and the vehicle was towed.
