On August 24, Lions Club of Hayward Silicon Valley in collaboration with the Sri Sathya Sai Foundation hosted a free medical and eye clinic in Tracy. Held at Sri Sathya Sai Baba Abode of Supreme Peace Church, the event drew around 150 attendees from the surrounding area. The Lions in Sight and the Global Initiative for Health and Wellness also helped with this effort.
The clinic provided services such as medical checkups and eye examinations in addition to prescription eyeglasses.
The community showed their appreciation. “This clinic is a blessing,” expressed Alvarez, a resident of Tracy. “Getting glasses has been a real challenge for me and this initiative has truly been a lifeline.”
The coordinated work of the Lions Club of Hayward Silicon Valley and other organizations like the Sri Sathya Sai Foundation and Lions in Sight emphasizes the impact that cooperation can have on improving healthcare services.
