Dominican Sisters hold Holiday Boutique

Purchase homemade olive oil, baked goods and more on Nov. 16

The Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose are the creators, makers and bakers of the Holiday Boutique. We invite the community to the in-person Boutique on Saturday, Nov. 16. Our booths will be filled with colorful holiday gifts! Sisters Barbara and Jeanette will have plenty of honey, honey soap and honey hand cream, which make fabulous party favors for weddings, baby showers or holiday parties.

This season’s olive harvest produced an abundant crop, so there will be plenty of extra virgin olive oil for holiday gifts. Our Sisters and volunteers baked several hundred additional fruitcakes for your holiday festivities and gift exchanges. Sisters Mary Sean and Cheryl baked an assortment of their breads that sell out year after year. Our friend Ian is ready to bake apple and peach strudels to tempt your tastebuds. Baked goods sell out, so purchase early in the day.

Attendees will find many options for fulfilling holiday gift lists: art prints, Sisters’ art and cards, household items, aprons, baby blankets, knitwear, crocheted comforters, bedspreads, toddlers’ ponchos, as well as seasonal décor. Bring your favorite shopping bags to fill with delicious and delightful treasures.
