On June 15th Community Oriented Response and Engagement (CORE) deputies participated in the 16th Annual Castro Valley Car Show in Downtown Castro Valley. Over 400 classic cars were displayed with food, beverages and plenty of fun.
A new Alameda County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) patrol Charger equipped with the AXON Fleet 3 Dash Cam system was on display and was a big hit. CORE had the pleasure of meeting with car enthusiasts and community members who traveled from far and wide for this annual event. Deputies gave out ACSO stickers, bracelets, pens and coloring books. Deputies also provided recruitment information on our agency’s sworn and professional employment opportunities.
CORE accepted donations from the Rotary Club of Castro Valley, the event organizer, to support the George Marks Children’s House and the CALICO Center. In the coming days, CORE will present the donations to these vital organizations on behalf of the Rotary Club.
