HERS Breast Cancer Foundation will host its 17th Annual People with Purpose Gala at Sunol’s Casa Bella Event Center on Saturday, May 2—an event that’ll be the cat’s meow.
A swanky evening for a cause that’s the bee’s knees, gala proceeds will sustain the foundation’s assistance programs which provide post-surgical products and services for underserved breast cancer patients.
The Roaring ‘20s theme will be woven throughout the evening: specialty prohibition cocktails (non-alcoholic available) will be served on the Giggle Water Garden Patio where the Mission Gold Jazz Band will keep the party hopping. Guests will party like it’s 1926 and are encouraged to join the frivolity by donning pinstripes, pearls, feathers and fedoras.
The Foundation’s 2026 People with Purpose Awardees are Alameda County Supervisor Elisa Márquez (District 2), Dan and Rosana Kosin, Corina Haralson and Elaine McElroy. Event sponsors include Legacy Sponsor Fremont Bank, Presenting Sponsor UCSF Health, Kaiser Permanente, Washington Health, Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley and Alameda County Supervisors Elisa Marquez and David Haubert.
Those interested can purchase their ticket today before this hotsty-totsy wingding of an event sells out. Individual tickets are $175 per person and include beverages, a three-course dinner, entertainment, fundraising games and much more. Tables of eight guests are $1,200.
