Amazon Web Services (AWS) recently announced it will dedicate $100,000 to this year’s InCommunities Hayward fund. Hayward nonprofits can apply for up to $10,000 in grants to fund a community project, and individuals and other organizations can apply for up to $5,000. Applicants can apply to fund an idea from a list of suggestions (such as Little Free Library) or for funding for a project already underway.
Accepted project themes include: science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) education, sustainability, economic development and leadership, community, andhealth and well-being. Previous grantees include Spectrum Community Services (providing meals to seniors) and Love Never Fails (helping human trafficking survivors).
Applications will be open until December 15, 2024.
