A world of whimsy comes to life

StarStruck puts on ‘Seussical’ as January main stage production at Ohlone Smith Center

Get ready to giggle, sing and soar into the magical world of Dr. Seuss as StarStruck Theatre proudly presents its winter MainStage musical, Seussical! This family-friendly spectacle runs Jan. 10-25 at the Smith Center at Ohlone College and showcases the remarkable artistry of StarStruck’s talented young performers.

Directed by Lori Stokes and Courtney Stokes with choreography by Francesca Cipponeri and music direction by Nancy Godfrey, Seussical is bursting with imagination, heart and color.

Based on the beloved stories of Dr. Seuss and powered by the award-winning music and lyrics of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, this fantastical musical piece weaves together favorites like Horton Hears a Who!, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz and more—transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the invisible world of the Whos.

Seussical captures everything we cherish about theatre—joy, empathy and a vivid sense of fun,” said founding artistic director Lori Stokes. “Our cast’s energy and dedication bring Dr. Seuss’s whimsical universe to life in ways that both children and adults will adore.”

Tickets for ‘Seussical’ are on sale now at StarStruckTheatre.org. Box office assistance is also available by calling 510.659.1319.
