On Monday, Sept. 7 at approximately 4:15am, Fremont Police officers responded to a report of a vehicle and pedestrian collision on Stevenson Boulevard, west of Marietta Drive.
The 60-year-old pedestrian was walking eastbound on Stevenson Boulevard near the center median. The left side of the driver’s vehicle collided with the pedestrian.
First responders arrived at the scene and began providing medical aid before the victim was transported to a local hospital. The victim succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased.The identity of the victim has not been released.
Fremont Police Department Traffic Unit has assumed the investigation and has suggested alcohol impairment is not suspected or a contributing factor to the collision.
This is Fremont’s eighth traffic collision of 2026.
