Neighborhood in Full Bloom
The next time you’re strolling through the neighborhood, look around at the newly designed planters. From the bright reds of the cordyline plants hanging overhead to the barrels of yellow and orange marigolds along the sidewalk, the refreshed planters bring summer vibes to the neighborhood.
New Businesses on the Block
This month, explore new ways to incorporate wellness at several new businesses in the area. Looking to take the guesswork out of your workouts? 440Gym has everything from group workouts to specialized trainers who can guide any fitness level.
If your dose of wellness this month includes some pampering, visit the new additions to Signature Salon Suites. Want to try a new hair look or just refresh your current style? Community Events
With the warmer days ahead, Downtown Hayward is preparing to host a lineup of events to get the summer started.
On Saturday, June 27, the Hayward Latin Jazz Festival will take over the streets of downtown for a lively community celebration. The free family-friendly festival will close down B and Main Street from 11am to 7pm, allowing attendees to dance the night away. With three stages and six bands, this event celebrates Latin Jazz, culture, local makers and downtown pride.
Also starting this June is Downtown Hayward’s Summer Street Parties every third Thursday of June, July and August. Watch as the community comes together for an electric mix of live music, food vendors and unique shopping opportunities. The first Summer Street Party will be held on June 18 from 5pm to 9pm.
