Fremont Art Association (FAA) is excited to feature Anna Verkhovskaya as the guest artist at its General Meeting and Art Demo on Wednesday, June 3, live from its gallery in Niles.
In this demonstration, Verkhovskaya will showcase the art of silk painting, highlighting techniques such as gutta outlining, color application and layering to create vibrant, flowing designs. She will explain how dyes interact uniquely with silk, along with essential methods for fixing color and preserving the fabric’s beauty. Attendees will gain insight into both the creative process and the care required to maintain hand-painted silk pieces.

Verkhovskaya is a local artist who has been passionate about silk, crafts, art and painting for over 20 years. Well versed in many mediums such as acrylic and watercolor, she’s most passionate about silk painting. Verkhovskaya’s silk paintings have been displayed in art exhibitions throughout the US and Europe.
