Olive Hyde Art Guild is hosting an event for local photographers who are looking for practice, especially for photographing the new flowers popping up in spring.
On April 23, Guild president and photographer Scott Capen will lead a tour of the beautiful gardens of Fremont’s Historic Shinn House. During this leisurely stroll, Scott will offer tips, tricks and advice on how to capture beautiful photos of spring flowers and foliage.

Attendees don’t need a professional DSLR to enjoy this program. It’s fine to bring an iPhone or whatever camera is available. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged to join.
Until recently, Scott Capen was a longtime resident of Fremont. He has been seen wandering the streets, camera in hand, during the Fourth of July parades and at some of the many events at Fremont’s Downtown Event Center. His work has been displayed at the Olive Hyde Art Gallery and Fremont Library.
