Tri-CED Community Recycling, in partnership with the Union City Police Department, will host a free community document shredding and e-waste collection event for Union City residents on Saturday, April 11, at James Logan High School’s main parking lot on Alvarado-Niles Road. This event provides a safe and convenient way for residents to securely dispose of sensitive documents and help prevent identity theft.
This event is provided at no additional cost to residents and will be held in partnership with the Union City Police Department to provide secure on-site document shredding services to help residents safely dispose of confidential paperwork and protect against identity theft. Residents may bring confidential paper documents such as bank statements, medical records, tax documents and credit card offers for secure shredding during the event. Paper documents only will be accepted for shredding.
Tri-CED’s e-waste collection event is held in partnership with Civicorps, a fellow local nonprofit workforce training program for young adults. All Union City residents are welcome to participate in recycling their unwanted electronics safely and responsibly while also taking advantage of the opportunity to securely shred sensitive documents.
