• Officers responded to a disturbance outside a convenience store on Mohave Drive. A subject was swinging a hatchet around. Officers safely detained the subject and found he had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The subject was placed under arrest.
Wednesday, March 4
• An officer encountered a subject wearing a bulletproof tactical vest and driving a vehicle with expired registration. The officer conducted a traffic stop and observed what appeared to be a rifle in the vehicle. The subject was hallucinating and claimed to see individuals attempting to harm him. The rifle was found to be a BB gun. The subject was placed on a mental health hold.
Thursday, March 5
• An officer responded to a disturbance at a high school on Blacow Road. A subject entered a classroom without permission during school hours and was scaring students. The subject refused to leave and was placed under arrest. The next day, the same subject was found sleeping in front of the entrance to a preschool in the same area. Officers asked the subject to leave, but she walked away into the school’s private parking lot. The subject pulled her pants down and urinated in the parking lot. The subject was placed under arrest.
Saturday, March 7
• Officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon outside a department store on Boscell Road. A loss prevention officer was in the parking lot when he saw a vehicle driving recklessly on the wrong side of the road. The victim warned the driver to drive more carefully. The subject then swerved toward the victim, hitting him in the leg. The subject was placed under arrest.
