On Feb. 3, at approximately 4:19pm, Fremont Police Department (FPD) received multiple 911 calls regarding a shooting in the area of Central Avenue and Joseph Street.
Officers responded to the area within minutes and requested residents in the neighborhood to stay inside for the next several hours as officers investigated the situation.
Upon arrival officers discovered a victim on the ground and rendered care. However, the victim later succumbed to their injuries.
The incident remains under investigation. This is Fremont’s second homicide of the year.
