Dream Achievers Band performs at library

Ensemble of musicians with autism has performed around the world

The Dream Achievers Band will give a holiday concert at Alameda County Main Library on Wednesday, Dec. 18. The Band is a musical ensemble made up of talented musicians with autism from Friends of Children with Special Needs’ music program, which was founded 12 years ago. Band members are Lawrence Wang, saxophonist and vocalist; Alice Jen, pianist and Gregory Hebert, guitarist and vocalist. Every one of them has an inspirational story of hope and amazing courage. Their repertoire includes more than 400 songs of different genres.

The Dream Achievers Band is the winner of numerous talent shows and has performed internationally including Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Toronto, Canada and Washington DC. They aim to bring love, hope and inspiration to special needs communities around the world.
