Schools share October updates

San Leandro High School held a grand opening for their new gymnasium on Wednesday, Oct. 23. The project was made possible by Measure N, a $198 million bond for school facilities improvements, which locals voted for in 2020.

Ohlone college held a cultural event for Filipino Heritage Month on Oct. 24, thrown by the college’s Asian and Pacific Islander Affinity Group. Featuring street food, a history gallery, and karaoke, the event attracted 100 attendees.
