FREMONT, Calif. -- The Union Sanitary District collects and treats wastewater for more than 300,000 people in the Tri-City area and owns and maintains more than 780 miles of sewer lines.

The agency’s General Manager, Richard Currie, will explain his agency’s work and how the agency expects to achieve a "net zero" energy bill via its solar facility at a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. on May 13, 2013 in Fremont.

This event is hosted by the League of Women Voters of Fremont, Newark & UC.
