Alameda CTC going paperless

By Tess Lengyel

April 30 deadline to retain hard copy documents

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Following the Alameda County Transportation Commission’s approval of the implementation of a paperless distribution process for the Alameda CTC Commission, Committee and Subcommittee meeting packets in in late March 2013, implementation of this policy is now underway. Alameda CTC is mailing out packets to its Commission Standing Committees and Community Advisory Committees in April 2013 to allow members the opportunity to notify Alameda CTC if they need to receive hard copy agenda packets. Unless notified otherwise by April 30, 2013, all future packets will be distributed electronically as follows:

Alameda CTC meeting agendas will be provided to the Commissioners and its advisory committees via Email and online. The public may access all agendas via the agency’s website.

Via Email: All Commission and advisory committee members will receive an email from Alameda CTC that will detail the meeting date, time and location. This email will include a hyperlink to the Alameda CTC website for that meeting agenda. All Alameda CTC meeting agendas posted to the website contain hyperlinks to each individual agenda item included in the agenda for which a staff report or information was developed.

Via Website: All Alameda CTC agendas will continue to be posted and hyperlinked on the Alameda CTC website one week prior to each meeting for Commission/committee members, members of the public and staff to access. Meeting agendas and packets are on the Alameda CTC website at www.alamedactc.org/events/month/now.

Anyone for whom paperless distribution is not a feasible option and who wishes to continue to receive hard copies of the meeting packets, should contact Vanessa Lee, Clerk of the Commission, at vlee@alamedactc.org or (510) 208-7436 no later than April 30, 2013 and specify which packets are required in hard copy.

The Alameda County Transportation Commission thanks the public for their continued support of the agency’s effort to implement sustainable and ecologically friendly business practices.
