District Attorney to speak at Sons In Retirement meeting

The Fremont/Newark/Union City Branch 59 of SIR (Sons In Retirement) holds monthly luncheon meetings featuring guest speakers and, twice annually, ?sweetheart luncheons? when wives, daughters or significant others are invited.

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday April 18, 2018, at the Fremont Elks? Lodge 2121. This month?s guest speaker is Nancy O?Malley, District Attorney for Alameda County.

Socializing is from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. You can also look over an extensive library of books, sign up for activities, and meet new people, or just shoot the breeze with old friends. The formal meeting starts at 12:00 noon with branch announcements, birthday wishes, a sing-a-long, and lunch, followed by an interesting and entertaining guest speaker. Meetings usually end about 1:30 p.m.

SIR Branch 59 welcomes new members:
If you are a retired man you should join Fremont/Newark/Union City Branch 59 of SIR! Activities run the gamut from golf, bowling, and computers, to wine tasting, bridge, bocce, and couples dining out, with more activities being added as interest dictates.

Men interested in joining SIR 59 should call the number or send an email to the contact information listed below. A SIR representative will contact the interested you to make arrangements. First time (sponsored) guests receive a free lunch. Thereafter, lunch is $18 to members. There are no dues or other charges.
