The League of Women Voters of Fremont, Newark, and Union City and the Fremont Main Library invite you to an informational session on the subject of refugees on Monday, March 12.

At this community meeting you will learn what our present-day refugee policy is and what it has historically been over time, what refugees are coming to the East Bay, and what non-profit organizations are poised to help them resettle.

Guest speakers are Jude Stevens, Team Support Coordinator, Catholic Charities of the East Bay who will discuss refugee policy past and present, and William MacIntosh of Saint JosephÕs Catholic Church who will inform us about the churchÕs Refugee Resettlement Program including what refugees need and how those needs are met.
