Black History Month at the Newark Community Center

The Afro-American Cultural & Historical Society (AACHS) of the Tri-City and Hayward Areas invites the public to its 44th Annual Black History Month Observance. This year?s theme is African Americans in Times of War.

At noon, there will be a screening of ?Tuskegee Airman.? At 3 p.m., listen to keynote speaker Mr. David Cunningham, president of the William ?Bill? Campbell Tuskegee Airmen, Hayward Chapter. Also, the AACHS will publicly acknowledgment and celebrate distinguished military personnel and ROTC members.

There will be a scavenger hunt for the kids, a display of military memorabilia, the R.J. Reed Inventors exhibit, and a vendors? market place. Enjoy great food from Soul Food Station (catered by Papa Lee?s BBQ).
