Looking for a community service based activity to engage in this summer? The City of Fremont Fire Department is offering CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training.

This training will teach you how to get your home and family ready for earthquakes or other disasters, as well as how to help your neighbors and your community in the event of a disaster. The class is seven weeks long and meets consecutive Thursdays beginning July 6. Take part in making Fremont more resilient by registering for this class. Space is limited.

Receive Òhands-onÓ training in:
¥ Gas / Electric / Water Utility control
¥ Hazardous Material Recognition
¥ Building Damage Assessment
¥ Small Fire Fighting
¥ Search and Rescue
¥ First Aid / Triage
¥ Lifting heavy objects off trapped persons
¥ Lifting and moving injured people
¥ Incident Command System and Disaster Communications
