A study day on refugee minors and families

Members of the Dominican family and friends are invited to attend the ÒDominican Defense of Human Rights: A Study Day on Refugee Minors and Families in the Bay AreaÓ on Saturday, April 18 at Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose Motherhouse.
The day begins with a prayer and Call to Human Rights in the Dominican tradition by Antonio de Montesinos, given by Fr. Jim Barnett, OP. ÒCurrent Reality of Refugees in the Bay AreaÓ will be discussed by Josˇ Artiga and Eileen Purcell of Salvadoran Humanitarian Aid, Research and Education Foundation. Karen Boncher, Refugee Foster Care Outreach Coordinator at Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County, will discuss ÒResponses to Unaccompanied Refugee Minors in the Bay Area.Ó Schedule includes Q&A with speakers, contemplative pauses, and discussion.
