Red Stephens celebrates 100 years
At age 100, Red is still raring to go. Cleburne ÒRedÓ Stephens celebrated the century mark at Irvington Presbyterian Church in Fremont on Sunday, April 13, one day after the anniversary of his official day of birth. Family, friends and guests gathered to honor this native of the small town of Lovelady, Texas who moved to California in 1957 Òfor a better life.Ó During World War II, Red worked on radar equipment that made ÒJimmyÓ DoolittleÕs B-25B raid of Tokyo in 1942 possible.
