LIFE ElderCare recognizes volunteers
In a festive setting on December 3rd, the auditorium at Centerville Presbyterian Church in Fremont quickly filled with hundreds of volunteers who have served their local community throughout the year. A wide variety of ages and services were represented as the group was treated to a buffet, entertainment and program that honored all of them. In a special ceremony, Board President Judy Zlatnik and Executive Director Patricia Osage presented the ÒFriend for LIFEÓ Award to Linda Wasserman in honor of her contributions as well as her late husband, Fremont Mayor Bob Wasserman.
Remarks by local, county and state representatives echoed the sentiments of the festive occasionÕs theme, ÒYou Mean the World to Us,Ó thanking everyone for their efforts. LIFE ElderCare coordinates a collection of programs that support Tri-City Seniors including: Meals on Wheels, Friendly Visitors, Fall Prevention and VIP Rides.
