Cal State continues winning ways

The Cal State East Bay volleyball team defeated visiting Cal Poly Pomona (3-8, 1-2 CCAA) in four sets on Friday night. It was the sixth win in the last seven matches for the Pioneers (6-5, 2-1 CCAA), who improve to 6-1 at home.

Amber Hall, Katie Allen, and Kitona Offord each had 10 kills to lead East Bay, which out-hit CPP .276 to .162 for the match. The Pioneers racked up 70 digs as a team, 33 of them by libero Veronica Sanchez, who has averaged just under nine digs per set over the last three matches.
