Scheduled for December 8, 2012 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m., kittens, cats, dogs, puppies, bunnies and other critters of all colors, shapes, sizes and ages will be available for adoption. The event, sponsored by the Hayward Animal Shelter Volunteers, is an opportunity to give your family an early Christmas present and a pet a new home. Please remember that a pet is for life and not just for the festive season. There is a flat-rate $20 adoption fee (plus dog licensing fees if the adopter lives in Hayward). Additionally, there will be a bake sale, raffle prizes and a Christmas gift for each adoptee.
