VTA ticket machines adding value to Clipper cards
Load monthly passes/cash at any VTA Light Rail station
Submitted By Brandi Childress
Loading value to your Clipper card just got easier! Customers can now load monthly passes or cash value using any of the ticket vending machines at all Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) light rail stations. On July 1, 2012, VTA went "paperless" and no longer sells the disposable, paper transit passes. Now, VTA customers pay for rides on VTA bus and light rail using the reloadable, all-in-one Clipper card.
The Clipper card can hold multiple fare media specific to the transit system being used, as well as up to $300 in cash value at one time, so it's possible to travel on BART, MUNI, Caltrain and other Bay Area public transit including VTA with just one pass.
For more information, call VTA's Customer Service at (408) 321-2300, TTY (408) 321-2330 or visit www.ClipperCard.com or call Clipper Customer Service at 877-878-8883. |
