Job resources fair for disadvantaged populations

The Seventh Step Foundation and other Alameda County non-profit organizations are hosting a Job Resources Fair, on Tuesday, September 18, from 11 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Hayward City Hall, for single mothers, people with disabilities, at-risk youth, English-language learners, seniors, veterans and ex-convicts looking to return to the workforce.
Attendees will be able to receive on-site services including resume-updating, financial literacy, web-based application training and education on the various resources available to job seekers. The organizers welcome and encourage attendance by all local businesses that are hiring.
The event is co-sponsored by the Alameda County Commission on the Status of Women, American Optometric Association, Eden Youth Center, the Community Resources for Independent Living, Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center and community partners.
Limited childcare will be provided. ASL or language interpretation available with at least 5 days' prior notice.
