September 11, 2012 > Paws For A Cause Breast Cancer Walk Paws For A Cause Breast Cancer Walk Submitted By Abigail Harrison, WHS ASB Secretary Washington High School invites everyone to participate in the 4th Annual Paws for A Cause Breast Cancer Walk Saturday, October 6. The 5K walk starts on the front lawn of the school. A BBQ and raffle will follow the walk. This is an opportunity for our community to increase awareness of breast cancer and raise money for the HERS Breast Cancer Foundation, established in 1998 by a team of women motivated by their concern for women and high incidence of breast cancer. Addressing a lack of specific services for breast cancer survivors, a vision to empower women led to formation of HERS. The mission of the HERS Breast Cancer Foundation is to support those affected by breast cancer with post-surgical products and educational services, regardless of financial status. All donations made at the Paws for A Cause Breast Cancer Walk including raffle and BBQ funds will be donated to the HERS Foundation.
