Volleyball Tournament supports India Literacy Project

Bay Area Telugu Association (BATA) organized its 6th Annual Volleyball Tournament on June 23rd, 2012 in Sunnyvale. Proceeds from the tournament were donated to the "India Literacy Project "(ILP) money Due to the overwhelming response, this year also there were three groups "Advanced", "Intermediate" & "Recreation" for Men and a group for Women. In total, 40 teams participated in this event, involving more than 300 players. Funds raised from this tournament will be spent toward providing free education to at least three schools for a year in India.
BATA committee consisting of Ramesh Konda (President), Kamesh Malla (Vice President), Kalyan Kattamuri(Secretary), Srirsha Battula (Treasurer), Yaswanth Kudaravalli (Jt. Secretary), Vijaya Aasuri, Jyotsna Bendapudi, Sumanth Pusuluri, Kondal Komaragiri & Veeru Vuppala thanked volunteers for their efforts in organizing the tournament.
